Akagami no Shirayukihime Chapter 22

Here is "Akagami no Shirayukihime" chapter 22.  I get the impression after reading this chapter that Shirayuki is in no real danger, but rather the folks after Shirayuki are probably Raji's adoring siblings.  I hope I'm wrong, because if the siblings then I'm going to be SUPER PEEVED.  Anyhow...it would make sense as far a Izana not being all that concerned about the people after Shirayuki.  He's probably laughing his ass off in the castle as Zen gallops off to the rescue Shirayuki from a 10-year old.

Anyhow, I noticed while cleaning this that the artwork has a more of a "hand drawn" feel than usual.  In that sense the drawings felt very intimate and that was somehow reassuring to me.  I think Shirayuki's ball gown is elegant in its simplicity.  It kinda makes be want to see her paired up with a guy while wearing it.

With the way this is going, I feel I would be happy if this series ended at chapter 24.  I imagine in the next chapter Zen, with his newly formed nuts, will ask for Shirayuki's hands and then in chapter 24, they can get married and live happily ever after.  Honestly, I think that's about all the AnS love I have left in me, so I hope it ends soon instead of dragging on.

Akagami no Shirayukihime Chapter 21

Here's Akagami no Shirayukihime" chapter 21!  I like the dungeon crawl in this story and the interaction between Shirayuki, Prince Raji, and Obi.  Izana is his usual wonderful cynical self.

Next up is the Halloween special double feature "Furou Kyoudai" -- "The Furou Siblings."  It two chapters long and lots of spooky fun :)!Source URL: https://aminefairy.blogspot.com/search/label/Akagami%20no%20Shirayukihime

"Akagami no Shirayukihime" Chapter 20

Sorry all, we don't find out anything about the pretty boy from the boat...however, as a consolation gift, I promise you a nice close up of Izana (*smokin'*).  Anyhow, this chapter appears to be the set-up for the chapter 21 which, according to the previews will be extra long.  It's too bad we have to wait until October.

And here's some excellent fangurling and analysis of the chapter from Sapphire Pyro (Link)

Next up is the second to the last chapter of "Zettai Heiwa Daisakusen."  I'm about half way through the translation and it's a great chapter.  I look forward to getting out to everyone.Source URL: https://aminefairy.blogspot.com/search/label/Akagami%20no%20Shirayukihime

I finally have Lala DX 9!  Yay! AnS chapter 20 is 40 pages long and according to the preview chapter 21 will be 45-pages long.  ZHD chapter 18 is also 40-pages long.  I expect this chapter to bring fans much joy :).  Chapter 19 will be the final chapter of ZHD and will run 50-pages.

And now to get to work on AnS 20!Source URL: https://aminefairy.blogspot.com/search/label/Akagami%20no%20Shirayukihime

"Akagami no Shirayukihime" Chp 19

Holy crap that was a LOOOONG 4-months to wait!!!  Anyway, here is Akagami chp 19:

Link "Akagami no Shirayukihime" chapter 19

After this we have another long 2-month wait until the next issue of Lala DX in August.  Hopefully, then we'll find out what bit of "sweetness" Zen whispered into Shirayuki's ear on page 44 ;p.  I'm also looking forward to tons of fun adventure time with Obi and Shirayuki.

Oh! and here's a link to Hyper Parfait for Sapphire Pyro's excellent AnS chp 19 write-up! It kinda makes me wanna write up a "smart-ass" version of the chapter...heheheh.

Next up is "Zettai Heiwa Daisakusen" chapter 17 followed by the either "Orange Chocolate" chapter 14 or "Kimi ni XOXO" chp 2.  I haven't decided yet which to translate first.  I'm equally excited for both right now.Source URL: https://aminefairy.blogspot.com/search/label/Akagami%20no%20Shirayukihime

Akagami no Shirayukihime Chp 18 Translation

I have good news and bad news.  First the good news!  Here's "Akagami no Shirayukihime" chapter 18.

Link to Akagami no Shirayukihime Chp 18
Update 2/18/2010: Tiny edits from Kuma-chan.

Please wait a week before uploading to aggregators because I haven't gotten in all the input from translation QC so there may be a tweak or two coming.

Okay, now the bad news:  It ends with an evil cliff hanger and the next chapter will not be out until June.  Please be kind to me as I am only the messenger for this awful news.

Pyro once again has written an excellent analysis and presented some Akagami love at Hyperparfait.  Check it out!

Next up is "Zettai Heiwa Daisakusen" Chp 15 followed by "Orange Chocolate" Chp 4.  ZHD should be released on Saturday or Sunday and Orange Chocolate around this time next week.  After that, I'll swing back around to do the Ouran Omake.Source URL: https://aminefairy.blogspot.com/search/label/Akagami%20no%20Shirayukihime

I've Got Lala DX 3

I have Lala DX 3!  I took a cursory look at each series and we will be releasing the series in order of the survey.

1. Akagami no Shirayukhime Chp 18
2. Zettai Heiwa Daisakusen Chp 15
3. Ouran High School Host Club Chp 78 Omake
Update:  Actually, I've decided to release Orange Chocolate chp 4 before moving onto the Ouran omake.  Personally, I'm in no hurry for Ouran, but OC Chp 4 - 6 are really good. Orange Chocolate Chp 4 will be released soon after Ouran because I have completed about 40% of the editing.  After that I will continue onto Orange Chocolate Chp 5 and look into releasing some one-shots alternating between chapters.  Recall, the next issue of Lala DX will not be out until April 10th and Ouran 79 will not be out until March 24th, so I've got some time (unless I miraculously get a job).  Please send me your one-shot and short series requests.  As a reminder, here are the magazines I get:

• Lala
• Lala DX
• Hana to Yume
• Hana to Yume Extra
• Asuka
• Bessatsu Hana to Yume
• Betsucomi (I quit getting Betsucomi after the Jan 2010 issue due to disinterest)

Lala DX 3 Poll Results

The Lala DX 3 Poll is over and the overwhelming winner in "Akagami no Shirayukihime" chapter 18.  I'm actually very surprised by the poll results.  I thought for sure Ouran would win since it's the most popular series on this blog.  However, the demand for Ouran came in last and so I'm happy to put that on the back burner because I'm feeling a little burnt out on Ouran.  Between ANS and ZHD, if ZHD continues from where it left off, I will translate that first.  If ZHD is a filler chapter, then ANS will be first.  As for the release schedule, don't expect any release from Lala DX 3 until after February 20th because next week I may be busy with family matters.Source URL: https://aminefairy.blogspot.com/search/label/Akagami%20no%20Shirayukihime

Akagami no Shirayukihime Chp 17 Omake Translation

Here's a short extra story that occurs between Chp 17 and Chp 18 of "Akagami no Shirayukihime."  With this, we are all caught up with the latest out from Japan for ANS.  Chapter 18 will be released in Japan on February 10th in LalaDX.  This is the same day ZHD is released.  I will translate ZHD first before getting to ANS, so expect ZHD in English around Feb. 17th (maybe sooner if the chapter's 30-pgs) and then ANS around Feb 24th.

And here's a link to Pyro's lovely fangirl summary and analysis of the omake.

Next up is a one-shot from Nari Kusakawa and then Ouran Chp 78.  I may not get done with the one-shot before Ouran, so the one-shot may come out shortly after Ouran 78.Source URL: https://aminefairy.blogspot.com/search/label/Akagami%20no%20Shirayukihime

Akagami no Shirayukihime Chp 17 Translation

Here's "Akagami no Shirayukihime" chapter 17.  This is a sweet and fun chapter without any drama.  After this, there is an omake and then on to chapter 18 in February.  As a bonus I made a quick wallpaper out the extra drawing the mangaka included:

The wallpaper included as the last page in the download.

Here's some fangurl love from Sapphire Pyro.

I will hopefully release the omake this weekend.

Akagami no Shirayukihime Chp 16

Here's "Akagami no Shirayukihime" Chp 16.  I'm still waiting for inputs from my proofreaders, but it should be good enough for now.  However, in light of this, please DO NOT upload this to any of the manga aggregrator sites.  I will do so when I think it's ready for upload.

Link to Akagami no Shirayukihime Chp 16

Updated 1/10/2010: Version 1 --  Minor translation correction on page 2 and some minor tweaks to other pages per suggestions from Sapphire Pyro.
Updated 1/8/2010:  Version 0.5 -- Corrections from Kuma-Chan added

Here's some fangirl love from Sapphire Pyro -- beautiful work and nice analysis as always.

Next there's chp 17 and  a very short omake.  After that Akagami should be caught up with what's available.  Chapter 18 will release in Japan on February 10th.  This is the same day as the next chapter of ZHD.  I will be translating ZHD first,  and then I will get to ANS, though, I may not finish before Ouran is released.

Anyhow, in the next chapter of ANS, Shirayuki returns and we are back in the present.  From a quick glance at the drawings, it looks like Obi is getting progressively bolder with his feelings towards Shirayuki ... hmm ...I'm don't think it's wise to mess with your boss' "thang," Obi ... hahaha!  Look forward to it!Source URL: https://aminefairy.blogspot.com/search/label/Akagami%20no%20Shirayukihime

Akagami no Shirayukihime Chp 15

Happy New Year to everyone out there!  I hope you are all having a wonderful day where ever in the world you are!

Here's "Akagami no Shirayukihime" Chp 15.  This is the first chapter in a two-part flashback.  I will start chapter 16 ASAP because it's looks like a powerful chapter.  There are a total of 17 chapters plus an omake out so I'll get those out of the way with to catch everybody up to real time.  After that, there will be a 2-month period between chapter releases coinciding with their release in Lala DX.  It's on the same release schedule as ZHD.  Yeah, it's a bummer, but none of us have any power over it.  Anyhow here's the link:

Akagami no Shirayukihime Chp 14 Translation

One of my proofreaders requested this one.  I guess the cliffhanger from chp 13 was unbearable :).  Anyhow, here it is:

Update 12/27/2009:  Version 1 -- Edits from Sapphire Pyro have been added. Hopefully, the file is now the latest :)

Also, here's a link to some wonderful fan appreciation from Sapphire Pyro.  Sorata-sensei is so fortunate to have such a loving fan.  Link

I'm not formally taking on this series.  Rather, this was a special request.  However, if the request is made again, I don't mind translating this series when I have time.  It's quite a pleasant series.  It is currently at chp 18 and like ZHD, it is released once every two months.

As for Ouran 77 -- well, I did start looking at it more closely out of curiosity and because my husband gave me a kick in the pants and told me not to run away from the challenge.  It's not as bad as I thought it was ... As of now, though, I don't have time to do a scanlation before Christmas because  I've got lots of cooking and cleaning to do.  If I do release a scanlation, it will be shortly after Christmas.  It's not as gloomy and drama filled as I thought it would be and there are some funny moments.  More than anything, though, some major loose ends get tied up and Tamaki ends up with a new problem to deal with.

Anyhow, if you are curious, it sounds like Tamaki's mother has Lupus.  It's generally not fatal, but it's no fun :(.  Here's a link to some info.
